Fri May 24, 2024 - Outing to Edmonton Ukrainian Festival (5 PM)
WHEN: 5 PM - 7 PM
WHERE: Borden Park, meet at main entrance at 5 PM. Parking is very limited, so consider carpooling or taking transit.
WHAT: Western Canada's largest Ukrainian Festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary. This is great opportunity to practice your event, action, food, street and product photography while enjoying world-class entertainment and delicious food.
BRING: Front benches are reserved for seniors and people with special needs. Please bring a chair or a blanket for comfort.
COST: Entrance is free, but you will need a debit or credit card to purchase anything on site. It's a cashless event.

WHEN: Noon - 2 PM
WHERE: Wagner Natural Area west of Edmonton
WHAT: The yellow lady slipper orchids will be in bloom and there are other plants and animals that call this fen home.
EQUIPMENT: Macro lens recommended for tiny plants and insects, tripod, camp stool, waterproof footwear.
COST: Free

Sun May 26, 2024 - Outing to Lamont County Ukrainian Churches (10:30 AM - 4:30 PM)
WHEN: 10:30 AM - 4:30 PM. Note: If rainy, outing will be moved to Mon May 27
WHERE: All day photographic tour to 6 Ukrainian churches near Redwater, Smoky Lake, Andrew and Mundare. Participants can visit as many of the sites as they like. All IACC members welcome and will need to arrange their own transportation or carpool. This outing is arranged by the club's Landscape SIG group.
LUNCH: Bring a picnic lunch and lawn chair or there is fast food available at the Esso station in Redwater.
COST: Free

Wed May 29, 2024 - Presentation on Pow Wow Protocol (7 - 9 PM)
The St. Albert Photography Club has invited IACC members to attend an in-person presentation by Bert Crowfoot who will share how photographers and others can show respect to First Nation People, their customs, and sacred ceremonies at a Pow Wow.

WHERE: St. Albert Catholic High School (33 Malmo Ave.) Please use the public entrance. Follow signs once inside.

WHAT: Annual Edmonton Pow Wow is a great opportunity to photograph participants in full regalia, dancing competitions, Grand Entry ceremony. Information will be provided to registered attendants so they know the proper photography etiquette for the event.
Thu May 23, 2024 - Club Social Event (6:30 PM) - note earlier start time
Celebrate the end of our 2023-24 season with pot luck appetizers, socializing, and more fun activities. The year end competition awards will be presented as well.
