SnapshotI joined the club in 2014 and have found it a wonderful hobby that has taught me to be more observant of the world around me. My photo interests are broad and my style is mixed as I learn and experiment with different approaches and technologies. In the past I participated in the Macro special interest group and am currently in the Abstract SIG, as well as co-leading the iPhone camera SIG. Through the club I found out about the volunteer organization “Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep”, which provides the gift of remembrance portraits to parents experiencing the death of a baby. With their support I have learned digital retouching techniques that I use with my other photography. I feel fortunate to have found a photo club which is so open to experimental ideas and helpful commentary.
