In Memoriam: William Vanden BornWilliam Vanden Born, was born Nov 17, 1932 in the Netherlands and passed away on Dec 15, 2025 with his family by his side.
Bill studied agriculture at the University of Alberta (U of A) and completed his PhD in Toronto. He returned to work at the U of A where he taught and did research until he retired. He also served on the Board for the Edmonton Society of Christian Education. Bill had a lifelong love of photography. During his retirement he joined Images Alberta Camera Club, actively participating in club contests and activities. He also thoroughly enjoyed a weeklong course with well-known photographer Freeman Patterson. From his vast inventory of beautiful images, he created cards which he used to celebrate events in the lives of family and friends, as well as to encourage those around him. His creation of a website which documents the family history and his photography is a treasure trove and a precious gift to his children, grandchildren, and wider family. |
