Sat Oct 11 - Outing to Aldon's Auto Salvage, 9AM-Noon (in person)
|
Aldon Auto Salvage, 552057 Highway 831, Lamont, AB. The #1 favourite outing, as rated by our members, is coming soon. We're joining with the St. Albert Photo Club for this event. In case of inclement weather, there are three Quonsets full of automobiles, as well. These are well preserved while the ones outdoors are left to the elements for very unique photo ops.
Meet Up: 9 AM at the gate. If coming later, please find Steph Sieben to check in. What to bring: Good footwear (may have broken glass or other hazards), outerwear suitable for weather changes, camera & equipment with tripod/monopod, water, snacks, your sense of creative adventure. You may choose to bring a model (please let Steph know as they need to sign a simple safety waiver). Please note: You are attending this Outing at your own risk as there is uneven ground and other hazards with rusty vehicles and objects that could cause injury. Cost: Free Carpooling: Please leave a message on the club's private Facebook page if you are looking to share a ride. Register no later than Thu Oct 9. |
Sat Oct 25 - Seniors Portrait Photography Session & Workshop
|
This special portrait session is designed to celebrate the unique personalities and life stories of the residents at Devonshire Seniors Community in Terwillegar. Taking place in the comfort of this care residence, each session provides a relaxed, friendly, and dignified experience. With gentle guidance and a patient approach, portraits are captured in natural, flattering light to highlight the warmth and character of every individual. Residents will be encouraged to bring a favorite accessory or item, making their portrait even more personal and meaningful. Their families will treasure these timeless images as lasting memories of their loved ones. Should there be extra time, we will ask other staff in the senior’s home and/or our registrant photographers to act as models for other photographers to practice portrait shooting skills (so please dress appropriately).
