Special Interest Group Showcase
This year, we have ten special interest groups planned. In this 90-minute zoom meeting, the host of each special interest group will have five minutes to present about their special interest group and show samples of images that illustrate the work of the members of their group. Each presentation will broadly cover meeting dates, topics (if they intend to have them), meeting format (which might include any of photo sharing; photo critique of member images or images on non-member websites; demo’s; watching of photography related videos; discussion of book reviews, etc.) and show sample images.

For more info, email Gary Ford (Program Chair)

Saturday, Sep 11, 2021 - Outing: Kaleido Festival 2021

Kaleido Family Arts Festival is held on historic Alberta Avenue (118 Ave between 90-94 Street).  Alberta Avenue comes alive as an environment of creative exploration and performances on rooftops, sides of buildings, back alleys, parks, old spaces and new spaces, offering a great variety of photographic opportunities.  These include street photography, event photography, food, urban landscape, portrait, etc.

How can I give back? If you like what you see, you can sing in as volunteer for next year.  If not, you could share some of your images with the Festival organizers, they will be very grateful.

Additional details regarding the festival can be found here

For more info, email David Aldana (Outings Chair)

Saturday, Sep 25, 2021 - Outing: Elk Island fall colours

This outing will allow us to capture the beautiful fall colours in Elk Island Park, and, if we are lucky, some amazing wildlife.  We will meet at the park's Visitor Centre for a quick head count and special instructions, and then feel free to explore around.
