Thursday, Nov 5, 2020 - Workshop: Street Photography (Darlene Hildebrandt)
Darlene has over 32 years experience in photography, was a qualified judge with PPOC, and has been teaching photography for over 9 years. She is very well known to our club as she has done many live and Zoom presentations to us in the past. One of her many specialties is Street Photography. This workshop will be a 2 hour interactive Zoom meeting where Darlene will go over all the things you ever wanted to know about street photography. And if it is not covered, you can ask during the workshop.
If weather and other conditions permit, we will do a follow-up street walk with Darlene the following Saturday morning, Nov 7 at 11:00 a.m. Details to follow at the workshop. |

A lighthearted look at competitions:
This 45-minute presentation followed by a Q&A will explore what makes an image great, okay, or lacking in appeal.
A lighthearted look at competitions:
- Based on Bob’s 2 years of Photographic Society of America (PSA) print competitions.
- An interactive session.
- Give voice to your opinions. - Just how bad is the photo!!
- Compare your thoughts on Bob’s images to those of a “Professional Judge”.
This 45-minute presentation followed by a Q&A will explore what makes an image great, okay, or lacking in appeal.
Like many photographers, Bob was given a camera when he was young and he immediately fell in love with the magic that happened when the prints came back from the drugstore. Several years later, he reluctantly switched from film to a digital workflow, which he now fully embraces. Then last year, nostalgia won out and he began shooting the occasional roll of film again. A very typical story.
Since 2003, IACC has been a part of his life. The club has offered him a chance to grow as a photographer, and meet and be influenced by so many others. He is always happy to give back in any small way that he can. The images used in the session are entries Bob submitted to competitions conducted by the Photographic Society of America, and the comments he received in return from the judges of those images. |
