Sat May 9 - Outing to RAD Tourque Parkway & Century Mile Horse Racetrack (9 AM - 9 PM)
Who's ready to try some action shots? Panning? Here's your chance to have it all. A full day and evening of drag racing during the day, then Nite Thunder dirt oval racing in the evening with a 9:15 PM sunset predicted. And if you want new subjects, the horse races are nearby as well. As this is a public event, guests are welcome. Note - The drag racing can be loud and have exhaust fumes in some areas, while the dirt oval racing can shoot mud your way. Be prepared for anything including a lot of excitement
Torque Raceway - 50342 Range Rd 253 Edmonton International Airport, Leduc County, Alberta
Time: Drag Racing: 10 AM – 4 PM and Nite Thunder Dirt Oval Racing: 6 PM – 9 PM
Cost: Free tickets with Code 2026OPEN. 4 per person. Limited number available so get your tickets asap. Otherwise, $20 per adult.

Century Mile (horse) Racetrack for additional photography opportunities nearby. 4711 Airport Perimeter Road, Edmonton International Airport (take the first right turn off QEII highway)
Time: 4:45 PM Thoroughbred Quarter Horse races. Old Timer's Classic races time TBA.
Cost: Free unless you choose to bet on the horses
Registrations required for one or both by May 7.

The Alberta Camera Club Alliance (ACCA) is hosting an evening that showcases images from its member clubs. Each club gets to make an 8 minute presentation (either from an individual or a group of members).

Do you have old camera bags, cameras, lenses or other photography paraphernalia that you don’t use any more? Are you interested in picking up a used lens or filter for a reasonable price – if so, the annual IACC garage sale might be for you!

"Whimsical Portraiture" with Kari Ann Carter
Kari Ann Carter is an award–winning photographer (and former Canadian veteran) who specializes in unique portrait images. She also advocates as photography as a path to mental wellness
2026 Burwell Scholarship Winner Casandra Barata presents "Love of the Camera"
Casandra's presentation will include an overview of some of her best nature images, including the ones submitted for her Scott Burwell Memorial scholarship application.
Sun May 24 - Workshop DxO PhotoLab, 2-4 PM (online)
Barry Headrick is a lifetime member of IACC and has used DxO PhotoLab, and its predecessor app DxO Optics Pro, for over ten years. He is also a Lightroom Classic user. He has offered to share his knowledge with others interested in learning about DxO PhotoLab, but acknowledges he is not an expert in all aspects of Photolab.
