Mon Mar 16 - Webinar: Liron Gertsman "Wildlife in a Unique Light" 8:30 PM - online

wildlife in western Canada and around the world. The presentation will include a mix of visual storytelling, science, and the creative process that Liron uses to create unique and eye-catching photos of nature.

Mon Mar 23 - Members Night - 7 PM (online only)

This evening is to help members to prepare for the upcoming Annual Competition. perhaps you're not sure if an image fits the theme or is "good enough", or you're trying to decide between 2 or 3 images, and you're interested in your fellow members' ideas. perhaps you're seeking suggestions on how to improve an image, or to come up with a title for it. you can share your image and we'll ask a couple of our more experienced members to give you feedback on them

Mon Mar 9 - Webinar: Jason Duncan "Mastering Seascape Photography" 8:30 PM - online

​North Shore Photographic Society presents Jason Duncan who will discuss Mastering Seascape Photography. With a focus on Vancouver Island’s breathtaking seascapes, Jason will cover key topics such as mastering natural light, camera settings, and composition to capture the dynamic beauty of the ocean. Attendees will also learn how to develop a unique creative vision, drawing inspiration from local coastlines while adapting their skills to shoot seascapes around the world.

Thu Mar 12 - Presentation Night: 7 PM - online + in person

Chris Harris "Re-imagining Photography as an Art Form"

This presentation is about Chris’ most recent work; a period when he has challenged himself to push the boundaries of photographic expression. Chris will illustrate with his most recent visual discoveries what is possible in terms of how photographers can use their cameras to express themselves in new, exciting, and meaningful ways. The talk is designed to better understand image-making as an art form, and to encourage and inspire all photographers to explore new approaches to expressing themselves and their subjects through the art of photography.

Fri Mar 13 - Outing to Stony Plain & Parkland Pioneer Museum: 11-3PM - in person

Join us for an outing to the Stony Plain & Parkland Pioneer Museum. 5120-41 Ave, Stony Plain. Take images on Legacy Street, a 1920's - 1930's street with time-period buildings. There's also a barn and working mercantile. We will have tea and light bites (your cost) at the Tea House for those interested.
