Evan Will presents “The Essence of the Outdoors: The Art of Landscape and Wildlife Photography” (in person + online)
Fine Art photographer Evan Will explores the captivating world of landscape and wildlife photography, delving into the techniques, artistry, and passion required to capture the essence of the natural world. He'll cover essential topics such as composition, lighting, meteorology, and timing, as well as the technical aspects of photography like camera settings and lens selection.
Jim Peck presents "Digitizing Slides from 1955 to 1963" (in person + online)
Jim Peck (Red Toque Photography) recently found a box of his father's medium format slides. Over 300 of the slides were digitized and select ones were printed. The mounted photos were displayed at the Red Brick Common Public Art Gallery as part of the 2024 InFocus Photo Exhibition. Jim will discuss the technical work and personal journey he undertook as part of this project.

Fri Nov 29 - Outing on Christmas Streetcar - 7:30 PM SOLD OUT
IACC has chartered a special evening out on the Christmas Streetcar. Take a 45 min return trip from the Old Strathcona Streetcar Barn, across the High Level Bridge to Government Centre Plaza and back. A generous pause on the High Level Bridge will offer a unique opportunity for night photography. With the city lights as your backdrop, it’s sure to be an enchanting experience! The Whyte Ave area is decorated with lights too.
Time: The streetcar departs at 7:30 pm. Arrive early to allow time to park and to assemble before departure.
Cost: $20 per person
Gear: Bring your camera, best night lens, and lens glare hood if you have one. Note: NO tripod use on the streetcar.

Location: Stanley Milner Library downtown.This one-day supportive workshop is designed to guide photographers through the foundational steps of adding filmmaking and videography to their creative tool kit.
