Three Tents - Two Canons
Written by Carol Rusinek, IACC Member Dianne has been a member of IACC for 10 years. Until this past year she made her images with a Canon 7D and 30 D. Presently she is photographing with the Olympus OM-D E-M1. Both of us like to camp and hike so we have been going on photographic jaunts for 8 years. Tenting allowed us to get closer to specific locations for early morning or night photography, not to mention that it is also cheaper. We are now on our third tent. The two previous tents didn’t stand up too well to the sand and wind storms they had been subjected to. A couple times we had returned to camp to find the tent flattened or flying in the wind desperately hanging on by one anchor. We have driven the western provinces and United States, and have flown several times to the East Coast, twice taking our camping gear. It is interesting photographing together and at the end of the day comparing images that show our two different styles and visions. Dianne’s images in her presentation were taken with her Canon cameras during trips to Utah, California deserts, Washington State, Oregon, and the East Coast. |
