Workshop details
This workshop will help you get a better understanding of how to review images and provide a constructive critique to the maker. If you’re interested in being a judge for competitions this is crucial knowledge to have in your arsenal.
Upon completion you will be better able to judge images on several criteria, including your own. You will leave with a framework and cheatsheet that you can use to help you assess images and rate them. You can then apply your new knowledge when providing feedback to other photographers, and to help you evaluate and improve your own photography as well in an objective way.
Come prepared to learn and participate in some image critiques. To learn you must do and practice. So you will be expected to participate and offer your feedback during this session.
NOTE: All images to be critiqued will be from anonymous photographers (not IACC members) or from Darlene’s own archive. So there will be no risk of hurting anyone’s feelings, it’s all about learning.
