Outing details

For car pooling, we will meet by the Tim Hortons located OUTSIDE Walmart Super Centre on Stony Plan Rd. and 184 St

Once again the U of A / Devonian Gardens is allowing our club early access to the gardens during the Luminaria event. They will let us into the grounds at 4pm for advance photos before the public enters at 5 pm. The Club has set aside 2 parking spots for those who want to car pool. Car pooling is not only environmentally and financially friendly (as the cost of a parking spot is shared), it's a great way to socialize and get to know fellow Cub members.

The candle lighters will be working at that time so we are asked to make sure we don't interfere with their work. We are not to go off the paths to take photos--either by foot or with tripods.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ
  1. You will need to purchase your ticket online before the event.  Select the time slot "Friday, December 6, 5-7 PM" and if you want to participate in the car pool, select the parking option "I don't need a parking stall but will be taking the shuttle from Devon Shopping Centre (Athabasca Ave) - Free".  The online ticket is $16.50.  If you want to bring your own vehicle, you will have to pay for the spot ($25), if there are any still available.
  2. We will meet by the Tim Hortons that is located OUTSIDE Walmart Supercentre at Stony Plain Rd and 184 St. at 3 PM. We will car pool from there to the event. Please print and bring the ticket you previously bought online. $5 will be collected there from each car pool participant to cover the parking fees.
  3. Due to the limited number of available parking spots, the car pool option will be limited to the first 9 sign ups (assuming 5 people/car). If for any reason you have to cancel, please notify well in advance so that someone else can take your spot.

Thanks and let's enjoy this magical event.
