In this special interest group, hosted by Calvin Binnema, members come together to explore and share their interest in architectural photography. This monthly evening meeting is open to photographers of all skill levels. It runs on the second Monday of the month, September through May (including the Thanksgiving Day holiday in October).
Why Architecture Photography? Architectural photography focuses on capturing images of buildings and similar structures in ways that are both aesthetically pleasing and accurate representations. Meeting Format Meeting are conducted digitally via Zoom. To participate you will need a computer with a microphone and camera, or a smart tablet. You must pre-register to receive the link to the Zoom meetings. what to expect
Showcase: At each meeting we have a volunteer present a showcase based on a theme or an excursion of their choice.
Monthly theme: Participating members share several of their images on a pre-selected monthly theme. Outings: The group plans occasional outings, typically on a weekend daytime, organized and led by a volunteer from the SIG. This can be a simple photo walk in an architecturally interesting area (exteriors) or a visit a publicly accessible building (interior). meeting Dates
