The ACCA is an informal group of Alberta (Prairies) camera and photography clubs. It's similar to groups set up in BC & Yukon and Ontario. We currently have 15 clubs representing ~1,033 members.

We collaborate on several items, such as:

1. sponsoring 2-3 major speakers, who command a higher fee than what most clubs could cover by themselves
2. ​sharing best practices on how to run a club
3. sharing info on speakers and judges
4. allowing members to attend other clubs' presentations
5. hosting an in-person get-together or outing

Fees for being part of the ACCA are $1.50/club member.

In the 2024-25 season, we sponsored two major speakers: 

• 2024-12-09 Adam Gibbs Land & Light – 30 Years of Photographing the Landscape
• 2025-01-06 Joe McNally Telling Stories with a Camera

We also hosted, for the first time, an evening to celebrate Alberta photographers. It featured a short talk by Myrna Pearman and short presentations from member clubs.

The Ontario Council of Camera Clubs (O3C) presented its one-day judging training course on Dec 7, 2024 for ACCA member clubs.

In the 2025-26 season, we are sponsoring 3 major speakers

• 2025-11-16 (2 PM MT) Alister Benn “Understanding the Landscape — Finding Your Visual Compass“
• 2025-12-14 (2 PM MT) Joel Robison “Finding Your Voice in Creative Storytelling”
• 2026-01-26 (7 PM MT) John Marriott “The Kootenay Wolves: Five Years Following a Wild Wolf Pack”

​We will again host an evening to celebrate Alberta photographers (likely in May, 2026)
